This Privacy Policy explains how TalkEngly ("we", "our", "us") collects and uses information when you use our app and website (together, the "Service"). It is written and maintained by the TalkEngly team and should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: name, email, country, and English level you provide at sign up.
• Profile information: optional photo, bio, and topics of interest.
• Usage data: events such as call started/ended, duration, in-app screens visited, and crash logs.
• Voice data: live audio is streamed between participants. We do not record or store call audio by default.
• Device data: device model, OS version, language, and approximate region derived from IP.

2. How we use information

• To match you with suitable call partners.
• To generate AI-powered post-call tips on phrasing, grammar and pronunciation.
• To keep the Service safe, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
• To send you updates about your account and product changes you opted into.

3. AI processing

Our AI coach analyzes short, text-based transcripts of your calls only when you enable post-call tips. Transcripts are processed to generate feedback and are not used to train third-party models.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information only with service providers who help us run the Service (for example hosting, analytics, payments), all bound by confidentiality and data protection agreements.

5. Retention

We keep account data while your account is active. Usage logs are typically kept for up to 12 months. You can request deletion at any time — see our Delete Account Policy.

6. Your rights

Depending on your country, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Email us at talkenglysupport@gmail.com to exercise these rights.

7. Children

TalkEngly is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you in-app or by email before they take effect.
