Community Guidelines

A safe, kind, beginner-friendly place to practice English.

TalkEngly works because real people show up and treat each other well. These guidelines describe what's expected of every member.

1. Be kind and patient

  • Everyone is learning. Encourage, don't mock.
  • Give people time to find the right word.
  • Correct gently, only when asked or clearly helpful.

2. Keep it safe

  • No harassment, hate speech, threats, or discrimination of any kind.
  • No sexual content, nudity, or sexual advances.
  • No violent, graphic, or illegal content.

3. Respect privacy

  • Do not record calls without explicit consent from the other person.
  • Do not share another member's personal details outside TalkEngly.
  • Don't pressure others to share contact info, money, or media.

4. Honest identity

  • Use a real name or a clear handle. Don't impersonate others.
  • Choose your level honestly so partners are matched fairly.

5. No spam or self-promotion

TalkEngly is for practice, not advertising. Don't promote products, services, or external platforms during calls.

6. Reporting

If someone breaks these rules, tap Report on their profile or after a call, or email talkenglysupport@gmail.com. We review every report.

7. Consequences

Depending on severity, violations can lead to warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination without refund.
